About the Role
You will be part of the Global Commercial team at TrusTrace, headquartered in Stockholm, with the purpose of continuing to build TrusTrace’s position as a globally recognized leader in product traceability and supply chain transparency for fashion and textiles.
You will be leading our research into global laws and regulations for affecting our focus industries; textile and fashion, electronics, automobile and more. But you will not only research, you will be responsible for our partnerships with key stakeholders such as industry associations, sitting in steering groups and committees to help actively shape how traceability is applied to achieve impact.
Within TrusTrace, you are the subject matter expert, engaging with industry stakeholders and customers. You will educate the entire organisation on regulation changes that affect our customers and their industries, and will help inform the product roadmap so we build a product that is continuously at the forefront of the industry.
You will work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams, as well as external advisors, to continuously build a clear vision of how laws & regulations drive the industry and how TrusTrace can help companies create more responsible and sustainable supply chains, and to drive communication and content to support this.
Your role is pivotal in reaching our ambition to become the clear category leader in supply chain traceability and compliance, and to succeed you must be willing and eager to stay at the forefront of change, partnering with and learning from the best. As we are a scale-up, you need to be experienced enough to wear may hats and do both strategy and execution, and experience in fashion and textiles is a plus.
Key areas of responsibilities:
- Monitor policy and regulatory developments relevant to the organization, understand the connection between different laws and similarities and differences in requirement, and provide analysis and recommendations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry groups, non-governmental organizations, and other relevant parties.
- Responsible for managing partnerships with key industry stakeholders
- Represent the organization at stakeholder meetings, conferences, and other events.
- Develop communication materials, including briefing notes, reports, presentations, and blog posts.
- Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on policy-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure that regulatory developments and future trends are integrated into broader strategies and initiatives
Who are you?
You are a goal oriented, positive thinker that understands that laws and regulations will define the future of sustainability, and how companies, industries and other stakeholders will need to work and collaborate to achieve meaningful action. You love staying up to date and thrive in building connections and collaborating with stakeholders from a myriad of backgrounds and perspectives. You transform analysis and stakeholder engagement into a vision of the future and how we need to adapt, and you can easily share your insights and recommendations with others.
You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and love both the nitty gritty of scanning and analysing regulatory landscapes, as well as translating this into meaningful, easy-to-understand messaging to educate your peers and inform future strategic initiatives.
As a team player you are humble, you inspire people around you, and you are used to putting the team first. You are eager to drive change and break new grounds. And you are – as all of us – committed to the aim to accelerate sustainable transformation in fashion. As we are a software company, being tech savvy doesn’t hurt, either.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as public policy, stakeholder and/or sustainability management, international relations etc.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in policy and stakeholder management, sustainability analysis and consulting or similar, preferably across multiple sectors or within fashion, electronics or automotive industries.
- Experience working with policymakers in Brussels and/or Washington.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with experience conducting policy analysis and developing policy recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience developing communication materials for a variety of audiences
- Strong relationship-building skills, with experience working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and interests
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Knowledge of relevant policies and regulations, and experience ensuring compliance with them
- Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for the organization to advance its policy objectives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with experience using data analysis and visualization tools an asset
- A good sense of humor.
The position is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
We look forward to hearing from you.
